Covid-Sniffing Dogs
COVID Dogs
In the NBA, the Miami Heat will use coronavirus-sniffing dogs to screen fans ahead of their games. They have ~1,500 season ticket holders who came in for the first time yesterday. They are the first NBA team to try this approach, but its been used at airports in Chile, Finland and the United Arab Emirates.
Apparently trained dogs can sniff out COVID-19 with 94% accuracy.
Here’s how it works (per AP): Fans arriving for the game are brought to a screening area and the detection dogs will walk past. If the dog keeps going, the fan is cleared; if the dog sits, that fan is denied entry,"

Now, people are freaking out — including AOC and Ted Cruz, who finally have something they agree on:

The virus is definitely not as rampant as it was and is cooling down in most areas of the country. We’re averaging around 165,000 new cases per day, which is about where we were in mid-December.
Vaccines are still rolling out nd 5-7% of population has a shot now:
The pace is increasing too with about 1.2 million shots happening a day:
So the wheels are in motion. Stay strong everyone.
