Apparently there are roughly 40 million doses of a vaccine available to US citizens by year's end. That’s enough to immunize about 20 million people as these new vaccines must be taken in two doses about a month apart. There are roughly 21 million health care workers and 3 million long-term care residents - so there should be just enough for those two groups to start getting the vaccine starting now.
